James May is to be a guest on the new series of the BBC 2 gameshow Shooting Stars.

Me=Ecstatic. :)

I've been a fan of Vic and Bob all my life, so getting a guest on the show from Top Gear has been a long time coming (even if typically most of the other guests -as with the last series- were just wasted opportunities to get some interesting or well known people on).

If you've never seen the show before, you might be in for a bit of a surprise.

Quote (yes this is the whole article- must've taken ages)

"TOP Gear star James May claims cars excite him so much he gets sexually aroused.

Fellow hosts Jeremy Clarkson, 49, and Richard Hammond, 40, have dubbed his weird addiction the “fizzing penis root”.

James, 47, said: “There is a point in the rev range when a literal buzz passes through the seat. It’s a sort of spiritual G-spot.”"

For the record James, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I love how they call it an 'addiction'. I also love how they call him a star. <3

This reminds me of the IT Crowd, when Douglas has the electric sex pants and he's looking at the auto trade magazine. "it's just CARS!" XD

He can fly a plane.

He can shoot a gun.

He can ride a motorcycle.

He can play a piano.

He can make beer and gin.

He can do woodwork.

And hard sums.

He swam with sharks and has been to the moon (nearly). Talked to robots, worn a rocket pack, flown a caravan airship, built giant lego houses and made entire gardens made of plasticine.

He likes pies, ladies, planes, beer and model train sets.

Ladies and Gentleman...if there's anything James May cannot do, it's only because he's not interested!

(Except going back in time, but we're working on that *builds Tardis* and anyway James knows that it was actually quite rubbish back then so you might as well stay home and just pretend it's 1943. At least then you can go watch the telly when you're done.)

22nd-Dec-2009 09:18 am - James on Flickr
I use Flickr for my photography so I've set up a James May Flickr Group.

So, if any of you use Flickr for your James photos, join the group and upload your photos to the pool. I only set the group up the other day, but I've added photos from TG Live, the Lego build and the Scalextric day.

According to James's agency Arlington Enterprises, James now has an official Twitter account.

@fiatpanda was soon revealed as a fake but this looks like the real deal.
1st-Dec-2009 09:56 am - James May's Toy Fair
I went along to Camden on Saturday - hope everyone else who went had a good time too XD I loved the fact that it wasn't too hectic as they sold limited tickets for it; lovely to hear James at the Q&A and I finally got a book signed by him *sigh*

My photos are over here but here's a sneaky peek...Collapse )

Photos hosted on my Flickr account.

James Steed
To any fellow Australians: Oz and James' Big Wine Adventure is starting on SBS this Thursday, at 8.00pm. I do believe it is the series in which James is in a spa, or so I gather from the description on SBS' website.
Just thought I'd let you know, in case you weren't aware :)
17th-Nov-2009 11:32 pm - Top Gear Live
Last Saturday I went to Top Gear Live in Birmingham armed with a new camera, my best buddy, and a system full of caffeine. Hours later, I returned home a happy and floaty girl.

Here are the photos I took of James & co at the event - and I'll be back with more from his Toy Fair in a couple of weeks!

I've also got a load over here at my Flickr account.
